Entering Events

Broadly there are four types of events, these are Open, Semi-Open, Associated and Club. Open, Semi-Open and Associated events must be entered in advance using a Standard CTT Entry Form. Click here for a link to an electronic copy on the CTT website. To enter an Associated event you may need to be a first or second claim member of a club affiliated to the promoting Association.

All events, except club events are listed in the CTT Handbook, this being produced annually. The handbook contains the information about the event, who can ride, the intended course and the event secretary to whom entries should be sent. Information about club events is usually passed by word of mouth, on the internet or in the sports section of the local paper. This site contains details of club event promotions, namely the Doncaster Wheeler's evening 10 series.

Club events do not require advanced entry and can be entered on the day by signing on at the event HQ and paying a small entry fee, prior to the commencement of the event itself. Entry forms for all other events must be submitted around 14 days in advance of the event, except national championships (28 days). For events being held on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday entries must have been received by the Tuesday 10 to 13 days prior to the event. For midweek events (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) entries should be in by the Saturday 11 to 13 days prior to the event.

In the seven days leading up to the event you will receive your start sheet for the event which will contain details of the event HQ, the course to be used, the competitors and the start time for each rider. Following the event you will receive a results sheet detailing the prize winners and each individuals result.
