Secretary’s Report

Account Balance of £**** with affiliation fees and competitor expenses payments to be deducted. Some clothing in stock (£**** worth), but more to be ordered. Both accounts amalgamated. £**** in the ****** account.

Membership: Currently 132 members with 10 life members, 12 juniors and 3 sponsors. 27 letters sent out to late renewers, 18 did not respond.

Life Members

T Siddons proposed that Dennis Clamp, Terry Hibbitt, Mary Outram, Ken and Iris Miles be elected as honorary life members. Carried

Web Site Domain

The web site is to be owned by DWCC at a cost of £**** per annum and the domain name registration (doncasterwheelers.info) will cost £ 28.29 *****for 2 years. Dale Coan to arrange

Road Race Reports/2007 plans

The Pickburn Road race was cancelled due to lack of entries, proposed that next year the event be held on a Sunday for 2nd, 3rd and 4th Cats. Stephen Maltby to arrange.

Harworth Circuit

Circuit event 70 entries, profit of £***, next year the course may change because of traffic problems. Michael Hope asked that the club buy orange lights for the road race support cars (estimated cost £100) and that new flags be made or bought. This was agreed.  Michael Hope and Charlie Hindley to investigate and arrange.

Time Trial Reports/2007 plans

Open 10, only 29 entries, profit of £****. Martin Oliver has agreed to organise an open 2 up 10 mile TT on the 14/10/2007 on the Hatfield course.

The Rudy Project event had 85 entries and made a profit of £*** these both include generous sponsorship of £*** from Chris Parkinson and the sale of tea and cakes. The Rudy Project 2007 event is to be held on the 6th May.

North Midlands CTT Events are to be held on the Hatfield courses next year as the A1 will not be available.

Championship events would be as this year. 25 inconjuction with the pooled club 25, date to be arranged. 50 on the 16/6/07 The 100mile and 12hour to be any event as there would be none of these events in N.Mids in 2007. The Club Best All Rounder over 50-100-12hour and vets BAR over 25-50-100miles. Junior BAR 2x10s and 1x25.

2007 10 Mile Time Trials to be held on Tuesday evenings

Social Secretary

Last years dinner had 125 guests. This years event to be held on the 2nd December at the Earl of Doncaster, live band (at a cost of £***). Raffle to be held. Tickets £20

The youth hostel trips have been very successful this year and the next one has been arranged. (Eyam on Nov 18th/19th)

AOB    

Manchester Velodrome Steve Maltby to look into booking. Steve also suggested that there should be road races on a Tuesday evening. (2nd/3rd/4th cat) He is to try and develop this idea.

An informal committee is to be formed to coordinate teams for racing.

Suggested an “how to get started” section on the web site.

Trevor Siddons to check out affiliation to the Cyclo Cross Association.
